With robots becoming cheaper and more available, it is very likely
that future combat systems will deploy squads of robots for a
particular mission.
Mobile Intelligence is well positioned to assist in system design
issues unique to multi-robot systems, with experience in ensuring
mission coverage, load balancing with a varying number of robots,
developing behaviors to induce and balance robot cooperation,
and creating multi-agent command and control consoles which allow
the robot commander to task and monitor groups of robots cooperating
to complete a task. Research focuse has been on command and control
of multiple robots cooperating to solve a task.
Mobile Intelligence's SARA robot architecture is designed
around the multi-agent paradigm, and much of our robotics work
has dealt with the multi-agent problem.
